The American sculptor, draftsman, and printmaker H.C. Westermann has for more than forty years been regarded as a major figure in American art of the post-World War II period. The Smart Museum's exhibition focused exclusively on his printmaking. His prints have enjoyed a smaller, but no less enthusiastic audience.
