Smart Museum Between Past and Future

During the past 25 years, Chinese artists have reinvented photography as an art form. Before 1979, during the Cultural Revolution, strict limits on non-propagandistic photography were imposed; unofficial photography remained private. "Between Past and Future" is our third collaboration with Wu Hung and the Smart Museum on contemporary Chinese art.
